AI-supported Leadership Development for Medical School Faculty
Project overview
This project will use generative AI to improve and scale leadership development in the Foundations of Leadership Excellence (FLE) Course that is offered through the Office of Faculty Affairs of the School of Medicine. In addition, generative AI tools will be used to design and support continued leadership development for participants of past FLE cohorts.
The three aims for the project are to:
- Analyze existing content gaps & create new course materials (including visuals, summaries, recap videos, etc.) with generative AI tools.
- Use AI-assisted instructional design for synchronous and asynchronous, interactive course delivery.
- Create AI-enhanced learning experiences and individualized developmental pathways (i.e. learning platform that supports group reflections and individual meaning-making through virtual facilitation and coaching).
Leveraging AI will ultimately allow for a wider reach of leadership development programming and generate more interactive and customized learning paths for diverse learning communities.
